More About Our Book Ministry

 

Each jail we visit maintains a library for the resident use. In support of their spiritual growth and in addition to the Bibles we supply the residents: 

 

WE WANT THEM TO HAVE ACCESS TO ALL TYPES CHRISTIAN MATERIALS

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. - Philippians 4:8

​

What are we looking for? Christian reference books, discipleship, guides, biographies, counseling and relationship materials, and even fictional books are welcome.  Paperback books, without writing or personal notes inserted, are typically approved for any facility, while hardback books can only be provided to select locations.

 

Suggested authors include Josh McDowell, Tony Evans, Adrian Rogers, Charles Stanley, Tony Dungy, Lee Strobel, Chip Ingram, Billy Graham, Warren Wiersbe, David Jeremiah, C. S. Lewis, A. W. Tozer, Beth Moore, Kay Arthur, Joni Eareckson Tada, John Maxwell, Randy Alcorn,  and Ravi Zacharias.

During your daily walk with family, church friends, and others, please ask them to consider making a donation from their personal Christian library.  If you church has a library ask them if they have books they would like to donation.

What a blessing we received from Kiokee Baptist Church!  This generous donation of hundreds of Christian Books was given to our ministry to help us support the ones we serve.

 

  • 140 hardback books have now been placed at Dismas Ministries.

  • 150+ paperbacks will be shared with the detention centers in Richmond, Columbia, and Lincoln Counties.

  • And the remainder are aligned to serve other community needs.
