Accolades

June 2016. Serving Time teaches Bible Studies and Money Management classes at the Augusta Transitional Center in Augusta Ga. For these efforts Serving Time was one of five groups selected as a Faith Based Contributor of the Year for 2016. Serving Time Chair Richard Hillman accepted the plaque at the annual Georgia Department of Corrections awards in Forsythe, GA.
May 2016. As you know, we went through our reaccreditation audit last week for reaccreditation by the American Correctional Association. In the past we have struggled to meet standards in regard to educational programs for inmates. We presented our current program on education which is administered by your organization. Although they are non-mandatory standards, for the first time we passed those standards that directly relate to educational programs for inmates.
We can meet a certain percentage of the non-mandatories but the ACA expects us to continue to move forward and get better with each successive audit. With your help we have been able to do so. On behalf of the Sheriff’s Office I would like to thank you and your organization for all that you do for the inmates and the Detention Center.

September 2015. I am one of the ministry leaders of Celebrate Recovery at MVC Nazarene church. I wanted to thank you for the inmate release departure information package. This is a great resource and I would love to have the word document. This is a resource that I can give our staff and office folks. Thanks again!
